Signs of aristocracy

Since the Middle Ages and the ancient countries, the representation of the nobility and the aristocracy always had their characteristics and traditions. If the peasant did not have to have good knowledge, clothes, posture and other aristocratic traits, then the representatives of the nobility are the opposite [1] .

From early childhood, they were taught foreign languages, geography, fencing, how to dress and sit properly [1] .

History

Know formed in various ways. In some states or countries, the nobility was composed of the indigenous inhabitants of the main city (Roman patricians ). In others, from the tribe that conquered the country (the Franks in Gaul ). Often, the army commanders and state officials turn into the aristocracy. In many states it was possible to join the aristocracy for special merit or for a very large amount of money.

To know most often is a military stratum, however, in the city-states of Italy to the nobility were not only warriors, but also merchants . In the era of absolute monarchy, the former aristocracy was joined by the serving nobles, creating a new estate of the nobility - the nobility .

Their claims to exclusiveness were based, in particular, on the fact that noble people inherit the best qualities of people - moral (courage, truthfulness, generosity) and physical (smooth pale skin, thin aristocratic fingers).

The bourgeois revolutions of the New time led to the disappearance of the nobility as a privileged stratum.

However, dimly expressed nobility always takes place in any society, since it is natural for humanity to try to transfer its position to its heirs, protecting them from competition. In addition, the children of parents-aristocrats grow up surrounded by similar ones. This gives a significant advantage in the form of connections, knowledge of the life of your own layer and the attitude as “yours”.
