Metapont (mythology)

Metapont (or Metab, Dr. Greek Μεταπόντιον , Μέταβος ) is a character in ancient Greek mythology. The son of Sisyphus , a participant in the Trojan War, an eponym of the city of Metapont [1] . According to another version, the son of Alibant, his grave in Metapont [2] . According to the historian Antiochus, this is the king to whom they brought the prisoner Melanippus (aka Arna ) [3] .
