The British National Space Center ( British National Space Center ) is the British government body responsible for space research, founded in 1985 . On April 1, 2010, the UK Space Agency was created in its place.
The country's space program focuses on research using radio telescopes, satellite telecommunications, participation in GPS and Galileo systems. The only launch of the satellite was made in 1971 from the cosmodrome in Australia, manned flights were never considered and were not officially approved (all British subjects flying into space did this as participants in the personal capacity of the US and Russian space programs).
