Autolycus ( dr. Greek Αὐτόλῠκος “lone wolf”) is a character in ancient Greek mythology. The son of Deimachus . Hercules companion, set off with three brothers behind the Amazon belt . He and his brothers remained in the Black Sea region, and later joined the Argonauts [1] .
Autolycus took possession of the area where Sinope was later founded. In Sinope he was revered as a god, there stood his statue [2] . Lucullus appeared in a dream when he besieged Sinop [3] .
