Abra
Avra (Caryatids) Louvre
Avra ( ancient Greek Αὔρα “ breeze ”, “wind”) is a character of ancient Greek mythology . The myth about her is set forth in the XLVIII song of the nonnas poem “ Acts of Dionysus ”. Abra is the daughter of titan Lelanta and the Oceanides of Peribei [1] . She gave birth to twins (Didimov) from Dionysus [2] . One of them (sister) Abra ate [3] , but the other was saved by Artemis and carried him to Eleusis , where he became Iakh (see en: Iacchus ) - the mystery god. She herself has become a source [4] .
