The INSEE code ( fr. Codes Insee or codes INSEE ) - in France, the numeric or alphanumeric codes issued by the National Institute of Statistics and Economic Research ( fr. Institut National de la Statistique et des Études Économiques ).
Official Geographic Code
Nomenclature of the French communities, which is defined by INSEE.
Example: Metz has the code INSEE 57463. It consists of 57 = the sequence number of the Moselle department and 463 = the number of the city of Metz in the alphabetical order of this department.
Social Security Number
In France, each person is given a 15-digit number at birth, which is called a social insurance number.
Numbers numbers have the following meanings:
