Story
The series takes place from 1964 to 1972 . The life of one Australian family is shown against the background of the country's participation in the Vietnam War . The head of the family (Barry Otto) works as an adviser to the government and is involved in the decision to send Australian troops to Vietnam, his son (Nicholas Go) is drafted into the army and his daughter (Nicole Kidman) participates in anti-war demonstrations.
The role of Megan Goddard, who has gone from a schoolgirl to an activist of the anti-war movement, was one of the first successes of Nicole Kidman ( Australian Film Institute Award for Best Actress in a Mini-Series).
