In his Ph.D. thesis, he studied the causes and mechanisms of changing the linguistic system from synthetism to analyticism (using the history of Serbian, Macedonian and Bulgarian nominal systems as examples), and in his doctoral dissertation he solved the problem of an objective description and attribution of the Torlak dialect - the disputed dialects of Eastern Serbia and Western Bulgaria .

He described and compared morphosyntax and syntax , vocabulary and ethnolinguistics of the most representative dialects of the Balkan languages, develops the theory of convergent linguistic communities ( linguistic unions ), explores the languages ​​of the symbiotic communities of the Balkan Peninsula, the language of Slavic verbal monuments of writing.
