Anatoly Fyodorovich Britikov ( February 1, 1926 - March 15, 1996 ) is a Russian Soviet literary scholar and critic , a well-known specialist in Soviet science fiction , and a doctor of philological sciences .

Biography
In 1950 he graduated from the philological faculty of Odessa University , then he worked in the newspaper "Black Sea Commune". In 1958 he defended his thesis at the Institute of Russian Literature of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (Pushkin House) , where he transferred to work as a senior researcher.
Began to print since 1951 . Author of the monographs “The Skill of Mikhail Sholokhov ” ( 1964 ) and “Russian Soviet Science Fiction Novel” ( 1970 ), as well as chapters and sections in “History of the Russian Soviet Novel”, “Russian Soviet Story. Essays on the genre ”and other works of the Pushkin House. He wrote dozens of works on the theory and history of science fiction, as well as on the work of individual science fiction authors (a number of publications in collaboration with A. Balabukha ) - A. Belyaev , A. Bogdanov , I. Efremov and others. Member of the Union of Writers of the USSR .
In 1973, at a meeting of science fiction writers of the socialist countries in Poznan ( Poland ), Britikov was awarded the international prize for the monograph Russian Russian Science Fiction Novel. Laureate of the Alexander Belyaev Prize (posthumous) for the same work.
In 2000, his second monograph on science fiction was published posthumously - “Domestic science fiction literature. Some problems of the history and theory of the genre. "
