Fat Wreck Chords is an American record label founded by a pair of Erin and Mike Burkett ( NOFX ) in the late 80s. As the spouses now say, they were bored by the creation of the label: Mike simply had nothing to do between the NOFX tours, and Erin was somewhat burdened with work in her specialty. In 1987, they released their first release, the seven-inch NOFX single, “ The PMRC Can Suck On This, ” and in 1990 the company was registered under the brand name “Fat Wreck Chords”. Nowadays, Fat Wreck Chords includes more than three dozen successful groups and three offices at once - in the USA, Germany and Canada.
