Julius Lange ( German: Julius Lange ; August 17, 1817 , Darmstadt - June 25, 1878 , Munich ) - German artist , brother of Ludwig and Gustav Georg Lange.

Biography
Julius Lange, together with his older brothers, participated in a multi-volume collection of engravings, “ Original Views of Historically Significant Cities in Germany ... ” ( German: Originalansichten der historisch-merkwürdigsten Städte in Deutschland, ihrer Dome, Kirchen und sonstigen Baudenkmale ; 1832 - 1855 ) . He began his studies at the Munich Academy of Arts , then studied at the Düsseldorf Academy of Arts with I.V. Schirmer .
For a long time he worked in Northern Italy, including Venice and Milan , receiving orders from local academies and nobles. He was also an art teacher with Archduke Charlotte . In 1858 he returned to Munich, where he also worked at the court; two of his paintings were purchased by Ludwig of Bavaria for the New Pinakothek .
Most of Lange's paintings are landscapes, mostly mountainous.
