Stogovo - a village in the Smolensk region of Russia , in the Vyazma district . As of 2007, there is no permanent population [1] . Located in the eastern part of the region, 9 km south-west of the district center, 5 km south-east of the P134 highway “The Old Smolensk Road” Smolensk - Dorogobuzh - Vyazma - Zubtsov . 8 km to the north of the village station Gredyakino on the railway line Moscow - Minsk . Included in the Kaidakovsky rural settlement.

Famous People
On January 6, 1915, Hero of the Soviet Union , lieutenant colonel , commander of the 479th separate mortar regiment of the 48th army of the 2nd Belorussian Front, Fedor Illarionovich Tarasov was born in the village [2] . He died in battle October 23, 1944 in Poland .
