Time Zone

The urban-type settlement Kadui, as well as the entire Vologda Oblast , is located in the time zone designated by the international standard as the Moscow Time Zone (MSK / MSD). The offset relative to UTC is +3: 00.

The climate of the village is determined by its geographical position, a small amount of solar radiation. Kadui is located in the Atlantic-continental region of the temperate climatic zone. A characteristic feature is the frequent change in air masses, due to the rapid passage of baric formations during the year. The seasonal change in the winds of the prevailing directions is clearly expressed. Most of the year, southerly winds prevail, with a 23% annual recurrence. Eastern (7%) and northwest winds (7%) are less common.

Winter is long, but mild, lasts five months. Spring and autumn are cool, summers are cool, the coldest months are December and January, the warmest month is July. Precipitation is greater in summer and autumn, in the form of rain.

The head of the urban settlement “Kadui village” is Nikolay Mikhailovich Shevelev.

The chairman of the Assembly of Deputies of the municipality is Alexander Marchenko. The number of deputies is 16.

• Old Kadui (the right bank of the river Raven in the vicinity of the railway station). It is the historical center of the village.
• State District Power Station (left bank of the Voron River in the vicinity of the Cherepovets State District Power Station ). It is the most densely populated microdistrict of the village; all bus routes pass through the state district power station . About 6 thousand people live in it
• Sudsky raid (between the rivers Raven and Suda at a fork in the road leading from the railway station to Andoga and to the woodworking plant).

The name Kadui, most likely, comes from the Finno-Ugric words: “cad” - juniper, “vui” - stream, river. One of the translations of the name “Kadui” is “juniper river” .

From ancient times, hunters and fishermen settled among forests and swamps along the banks of the largest rivers Sud and Andogi . In the first millennium BC e. it was a Finno-Ugric tribe - all .

In the XII-XII centuries, these places attracted the Slavs. Belozersky princes, landowners, monasteries became the owners of the lands. In 1517, the wanderer Philip founded a monastery, which was called the Filippo-Iraqi Krasnoborsky Trinity Deserts . In the time of Ivan the Terrible, “royal hezas” were placed on the banks of the Andoga River , and sterlet and pike perch were delivered to the royal table. By the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, settlements began to take shape, and the area was called the Andogsky camp. The first mention in the annals of the village of Kadui appeared in 1626 . Since the times of Peter the Great, the active development of the trades began: they received iron from the swamp ore, boiled tar, and built barges. Particularly famous for their skill are the Andolgian carpenters. During the Zemstvo reforms in the second half of the 19th century, merchants and large timber merchants appeared, the founders of the first enterprises in the vicinity of Kaduy.

In 1904, the station was built at the Kadui station of the St. Petersburg-Vologda line of the Nikolaev railway (it is with this event that the formation of the village of Kadui is usually associated). The regular movement of trains through the station is carried out from January 1, 1906.

In 1918, the Kadui station became the center of the volost, and in 1927 the center of the Kaduy district , which on September 23, 1937 became part of the Vologda region . In the early 30s, industrial enterprises were created: timber industry enterprise, Chaevskaya extract-berry artel, sawmill (now LLC Kaduisky Plywood Mill).

After the Great Patriotic War (June 7, 1947), Kaduy became a working village with a population of 2.5 thousand people. The district developed rapidly in the sixties and seventies with the start of construction of the Cherepovets State District Power Plant , which became the largest enterprise in the region and the region.

In 2006, a municipality was created - an urban village of Kadui.

Industrial enterprises

The main enterprise of the village of Cherepovetskaya GRES is a 1050 MW power plant (a branch of PJSC OGK-2 ). Thanks to the station, Kadui is the center of large energy in the Vologda Oblast. Teploenergoremont LLC ensures the operability of the power plant. The branch of JSC Gazprom Gas Distribution Vologda is responsible for the gas supply to enterprises and the population of the region. PKK "Start" carries out the manufacture of construction and technological metal structures.

The food industry of Kaduya is represented by a winery, a dairy factory LLC SKHP "Kaduisky Dairy Plant" (currently not working) and the fishing company "Diana" (production of black caviar , the cultivation of various breeds of fish and fish stock using thermal waters of the Cherepovets State District Power Plant, including including for stocking natural reservoirs of the Vologda region). There is also a bakery in the village, the Kaduy branch of the regional consumer society works.

In addition, there is a wood processing factory, Kartel LLC (production of corrugated cardboard and standard packaging containers from corrugated cardboard), which does not work in Kadui at the moment. Kaduy Plywood Mill LLC and Sivets OJSC produce stamped plywood and polymer containers, glued plywood and furniture blanks, and there are other enterprises in the forest industry. Euro-Carbon LLC launched the production of activated carbon, and LLC warm house - thermal insulation blocks.

There are two gas stations in the village, five hotels, trade and public catering enterprises.

Several agricultural enterprises operate in the Kaduya area, including such as the SEC of the Andoga collective farm, Niva LLC, and the Andronovo branch of Rus LLC.
