Borodino is a railway station of the Smolensk (Belarusian) direction of the Moscow railway in the Mozhaisk urban district of the Moscow region . It is part of the Smolensky Center for the Organization of the Work of Railway Stations DTSS-6 of the Moscow Directorate of Traffic Management. By the nature of the main work, it is intermediate , in terms of the volume of work performed it is assigned to class 4.

The first station and stopping point of the Smolensk region in this direction.
It has two side platforms: high and low.
The average travel time from Belorussky Train Station is 2 hours. The station is the farthest in this direction, having direct connection with Moscow by electric trains. Until May 18, 2015, direct electric trains also worked further to Gagarin [3] . At the station, you can change to local commuter trains from Mozhaisk or Borodin to Gagarin / Vyazma.

Historical Facts
In 1902, on the initiative of the head of the railway station, P. P. Bogdanovich, the Museum of 1812 was created in one of the station's rooms [4] .
By August 1912, on the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Borodino, a temporary single-track line was laid to the Borodino field with the construction of a platform and parking for the imperial trains in connection with the arrival of Nicholas II and his family for the celebration. Soon the line was dismantled.
On September 7, 2002, in honor of the 190th anniversary of the Battle of Borodino, the grand opening of the reconstructed Art. Borodino. In the waiting room there is an exposition dedicated to the Patriotic War of 1812. Borodino station was founded in 1869 on the battlefield of Borodino during the laying of the railway on the Moscow-Brest line. One of the monuments of the memorial complex is located 50 meters from the station, and tourists get into the open-air museum almost from the foot of the car. The journey to Borodin by electric train takes only two hours. It is almost twice as fast as at the beginning of the 20th century.
