WIEM ( Polish. Wielka Interaktywna Encyklopedia Multimedialna , “The Big Interactive Multimedia Encyclopedia”) [1] is an online encyclopedia in Polish , available for free and without registration.
The encyclopedia has been published since 1998 on the basis of two encyclopedias. The latest, most complete version contains more than 125 thousand articles and about 9 thousand multimedia files (images, video fragments, sound recordings). Since 2000, it has been part of the Internet portal Onet.pl [2] .
