Equinox Desktop Environment ( EDE ) is a free desktop environment for UNIX-like operating systems , characterized by its compactness, speed, ease and simplicity. It is based on FLTK . This work environment mainly copies the standard Microsoft Windows interface view and is used by default in Minix .
