Central Park - a large park in the center of Novosibirsk and the oldest park in the city. The area of the park is 10.5 ha [1] . It is located near the metro station " Ploshchad Lenina " between the streets Frunze , Michurina , Yadrintsevskaya , Kamenskaya .

Content
History
The park was founded in 1925 on the site of the Resurrection Cemetery . Therefore, the first name was the garden "Cemetery". Soon he was renamed "Central", and in the 1930s - in the garden of Stalin .
In 1952, a planetarium opened in the park, and in 1959, the Novosibirsk Musical Comedy Theater .
October 30, 1961 the name of Stalin was removed and the park began to be called "Park of Culture and Rest" [1] .
Attractions
The first rides appeared in the park in 1944. Since then they have been updated several times. For 2017, the park has 9 children's, 19 family, 4 extreme attractions and 3 summer cafes. The safety check of the rides is carried out in Novosibirsk from May to October, during which an operating permit is issued that is valid for the calendar year. The check is carried out by an interdepartmental commission of the city hall. Also, annually at the end of May, an interdepartmental commission is created, including representatives of Rospotrebnadzor, Rostekhnadzor, civil defense and emergency situations in the Novosibirsk Region. There are 2 cultural institutions in the park: the Novosibirsk Theater of Musical Comedy and the psychological theater La Pushkin, 1 sports and tactical club: STK54. The sports laser tag section works. An outdoor ice rink is open in winter.
Memorial Boards
A memorial plaque in honor of composer-songwriter Nikolai Kudrin was installed on the park’s administration building [2] .
