Granulite is a metamorphic rock of a gneiss-like texture, formed under conditions of high temperatures (above 700 ° C) and pressure (6-10⋅10 8 Pa ).
The mineral composition of granulite: quartz , plagioclase , feldspar , as well as inclusions of biotite , pomegranate , cordierite , silymanite , hypersthene and others.
The structure is granulite, granoblast, gneiss texture.
Used as a building stone .
