Dynamo match (Minsk) - BATE on Tractor

The construction of the Tractor Stadium began in the 1950s .

Bulldozers leveled the ground and uprooted part of the adjacent forest. Several benches were installed and football competitions were held among the production teams of the Minsk Tractor Plant , in those days the stadium belonged to the Red Banner Regional Council, and in the late 1950s the first tier of the stadium was built.

In 1976, the Regional Council "Red Banner" transferred the stadium to the balance of MTZ . In the same year, the first reconstruction of the stadium began. It began with the construction of the upper tier with the simultaneous construction of bulk earthen stands, the installation of electric lighting and drainage of a football field. A reserve field was laid.

In 1978, after the Dynamo stadium was closed for major repairs, the USSR football championships began to be held on Tractor, including athletics competitions. During the 1980 Olympics , Tractor became the Olympic Reserve Arena.

September 29, 1979 after the match of the USSR major league between Minsk and Moscow Dynamo due to the lack of special "dividers" protecting the sectors from each other, a crush arose when fans left the stadium. 4 people were killed and about 30 were injured and seriously injured.

During the 1980 Olympics , Tractor became the Olympic Reserve Arena.

In this form, the stadium lasted until the second reconstruction, which began in 1997 and ended in May 2000. The stadium has acquired a modern look. Plastic seats were installed, reinforced concrete appeared instead of earthen stands, sub-tribune rooms began to meet European standards.

In 2010, plans appeared to create a sports and entertainment complex on the basis of the stadium [1] .

On May 29, 2011, the final match of the Belarus Football Cup was held at the stadium, in which FC Gomel beat the Neman 2-0 [2] .

From 2013 to 2018, the stadium hosts Dynamo Minsk home games, as well as a reserve in 2019 [3] .

Since 2019, in the immediate vicinity of Tractor, the National Football Stadium has been under construction.
