History
The company was founded on October 1, 1999 through the merger of the computer division of Siemens Nixdorf Informationssysteme ( concern Siemens AG ) and Fujitsu ICL Computers (European division of Fujitsu Limited ).
Under the brand name Fujitsu Siemens, mobile computers (laptops), system units, monitors, keyboards, mice were produced. During the transition period (before the merger with Fujitsu ICL Computers, but after the Siemens Nixdorf brand no longer existed), monitors and keyboards were manufactured under the Siemens brand.
With a 50% shareholding in the company, Siemens AG and Fujitsu Limited owned. At the end of October 2008, Siemens AG announced the sale of its share of Fujitsu Limited for € 450 million. The transaction was completed by April 1, 2009.
In 2008, Siemens announced that the computer business was not core business for the company and left the enterprise. Accordingly, Fujitsu bought the partners share for € 450 million and inherited all the regional offices and staff of Fujitsu Siemens Computers. Since April 1, 2009, the company has been integrated into the Fujitsu Limited holding and is called Fujitsu Technology Solutions, specializing in IT solutions.
The company's line of business is the development and implementation of critical business applications and the development of new generation mobile solutions. The company's offerings range from handheld and desktop computers to enterprise-level solutions. Fujitsu Siemens Computers has been a leader in all key markets in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The company has enterprises in the cities of Augsburg , Munich , Paderborn , Zemmerda ( Germany ) and in Sunnyvale , California ( USA ).
The representative office in Russia has offices and centers of competence in the following cities: Moscow , St. Petersburg , Samara , Yekaterinburg .
