Childhood

Born in Hazard, Kentucky , raised in Pine Top, Kentucky . The daughter of Floniva (née Sloan), an independent consultant to Mary Kay , and Curtis Geyhart, who worked as a miner and truck driver in the mine ^{[2] [3] [4]} . It has Irish, Italian, German and Cherokee roots ^[5] . She studied at the Knott County Central High School in Kentucky, moved to New York at the age of 15, where she completed her education at the Professional Children's School and the Lee Strasberg Institute .

Career

The first movie role was the role of the model in Brett Ratner's short film at New York University, "What the difference is what happened to Mason Reese." She also appeared in the Nuttin 'But Love clip of the rap group Heavy D & The Boyz , shot by Ratner.

Taking a break in the television industry, Geyhart starred in a series of commercials for Noxzema in the early 90s, with the nickname “Noxzema Girl”. Broadcast advertising in 1991 brought her recognition ^[6] . This is also mentioned at the end of the film “ City Legends ” when one of the new students says “Brenda (Geyhart character) was a girl Noxzema”.

In 1992, Geyhart got her first major role as Hannah Mayberry in the soap opera Endless Love. In 1993 and 1994 played a minor role in several episodes of the series Disappearing Son. In 1994 and 1995, Bess Martin played in the popular science series Earth 2. In 1995, she had a supporting role as Antonia Marchett ( Dylan Mackay's wife) in the TV series Beverly Hills, 90210 . Personal life

For some time she was engaged to Brett Ratner and met with actor Michael Wheaterley . And on October 29, 2004 she married Eric Dane . March 3, 2010 they had a daughter, Billy Beatrice ^{[8] [9]} . Rebecca and her husband Eric Dane introduced Charlie Sheen to his wife Brooke Muller , who is Rebecca's best friend.

Motor Kill

On June 13, 2001, Rebecca Gayheart hit a 9-year-old Jorge Cruz when he inadvertently crossed the street of Los Angeles. The police report indicated that the child was going home from school and began to cross the street 160 meters before the pedestrian crossing. The vehicles in front of Gayheart stopped to let the boy pass. Either not wanting to wait, or in order to avoid a collision, Geyhart maneuvered around other cars, drove into the oncoming lane and crashed into a boy. The parents' lawyer claimed that she was talking on a cell phone, but the actress’s lawyer refutes this ^[12] . The boy died in hospital the next day, and his parents filed a lawsuit to cover medical and funeral expenses. The lawsuit was settled out of court, the details were not disclosed.

On November 27, 2001, not pleading guilty to the boy’s death, Geyhart was sentenced to 3 years of probation, suspension of a driver’s license for a year, a fine of $ 2,800, and 750 hours of community service.

Waiting for the results of the investigation of the death of Jorge Cruz, Rebecca became a participant in another traffic accident. She crashed into her two car parked in her rented car. No one was hurt and no charges were brought ^{[13] [14]} .
