Kostrizhevka ( Ukrainian: Kostrizhivka ) is an urban-type settlement in the north of the Zastavnovsky district of the Chernivtsi region of Ukraine .

Content
Geographical position
The village is located on the right bank of the Dniester [2] [3] . On the opposite bank is the city of Zalishchyky ( Ternopil region ).
History
The settlement has been known since 1780 [3] .
During the First World War, the village was in the combat zone, in November 1918 it was occupied by Romanian troops. June 28, 1940 as part of Northern Bukovina became part of the USSR.
After the start of World War II in 1941 - 1944, the settlement was occupied by German-Romanian troops .
Urban village since 1959 [4]
In 1973, a sugar factory and a building materials factory were operating here [2] .
In 1980, the Khreshchatyk sugar factory, a building materials factory, a workshop of the Zastavnovsky livestock production association, a secondary school, a hospital, two libraries and two clubs operated here [3] .
In January 1989, the population was 2808 people [5] .
In July 1995, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the decision to privatize the building materials factory located here [6] , and in October 1995 a decision was approved on the privatization of the sugar factory [7] .
As of January 1, 2013, the population was 2718 people [8] .
On April 8, 2019, the sugar factory burned down [9] .
