Biography
Andrei Maslov was born in 1770; of the nobles , his father is a poor landowner.
He began serving in the guard in 1789 and participated in the Russian-Swedish war. Produced in 1790 as army captain, Maslov and the Murom Infantry Regiment participated in the war with Poland from 1792–94. and in the Italian campaign of Suvorov in 1799, during which he was shell-shocked and wounded.
In 1805, Lieutenant Colonel Maslov fought with distinction at Pultusk (1806), at Yankov and Preisish-Eylau (1807). In the last battle, he and his battalion 2 times went to bayonets at the enemy, was wounded in the head and on April 13, 1807 would have been awarded the Order of St. George 4th class

September 8, 1807 was appointed commander of the Murom Musketeer Regiment, February 29, 1808 - commander of the Revel Musketeer Regiment. He took part in the Russian-Swedish war of 1808-1809. For the courage shown in the battles of Kuopio, Uleaborg, Torneo, Sheleft, Umea, Sevara and Ratan on November 26, 1809 he was awarded the rank of colonel . In 1811 he formed the Podolsky Musketeer Regiment and on January 17, 1811 became his chief.

In the autumn of 1807 he was appointed commander of the Murom Infantry Regiment, and in 1808 - Revelsky, with whom he participated in the war with Sweden in 1808–09.
Awarded for the military distinctions in her with the rank of colonel, Maslov, in 1811 he was appointed chief of the Podolsky Infantry Regiment formed by him and, having joined him as part of the Wittgenstein corps, participated in the battles at Ekamoniya, Chashniki and Smolyany in 1812. In the last battle he was wounded in the chest and was forced to leave his military affairs forever.
Awarded the rank of Major General for Chashniki and Smolyany, Maslov commanded a brigade in the 21st Infantry Division until 1819, and from 1819 to 1821 - first the 21st, and then the 7th and 10th divisions. In 1821 he was expelled from the army, and in 1823 he was appointed commandant of the city of Smolensk .
