Serali (Serke) Kozhamkulov ( 1896 - 1979 ) - Kazakh theater and film actor. People's Artist of the Kazakh SSR ( 1936 ). Hero of Socialist Labor ( 1976 ). Laureate of the Stalin Prize of the third degree ( 1952 ). Member of the CPSU (b) since 1942 .

Biography

Born on April 23 ( May 5 ), 1896 in aul No. 13 of the Turgay region of the Russian Empire (now the Karabalyk district of the Kostanay region)

One of the first Kazakh professional actors and the first Kazakhstan film actor. One of the founders of dramatic theater art in Kazakhstan. Since 1925 he worked as an actor and director at the KazATD named after M.O. Auezov ( Alma-Ata ).

Family

Wife - Hadish. Eleven children were born in the marriage, seven survived: five girls and two boys [1] ).
