Background

Hagallrune

The rune "Hagall", symbolized the inflexibility of faith (in the Nazi sense of the word), required from each member of the SS. This rune was widely used during various SS ceremonies, in particular at weddings. The SS troops were used in the symbols of the 6th SS Mountain Division "Nord" .

Odalrune

The rune "Odal", a symbol of family and consanguinity. The badge of the staff of the Main Directorate of the SS on race and settlement issues , as well as the emblem of the 7th Mountain Division of the SS Troops “Prince Eugen” , which became the first SS unit equipped exclusively with Volksdeutsche.

The use of the bodies of murdered people as material in an anthropological collection

With the entry of Germany into the war, an anthropological research program was brought to the fore among the developments of Anenerbe. This program was implemented by the Institute for Special Missions in the Field of Military Sciences, which used living people as experimental material. One such program was developed by the SS Hauptsturmführer Professor August Hirt . He collected skulls and skeletons of people of different nationalities, alcoholized bodies. People came from death camps as material.

Human Experiences

In addition to anthropological research, Anenerbe also engaged in inhumane experiments on people. Dr. Sigmund Rasher specialized in this area ^{[11] [16]} . He wrote to his boss Heinrich Himmler :

When experiments to cool people at Auschwitz (better known in Russia as Auschwitz) failed for some reason, Dr. Rasher continued his research in Dachau:

Эсэсовцы, входящие в «Наследие предков», курировали проект создания «оружия возмездия» — Фау-2 . К концу своей деятельности «Аненербе» представляла собой большую бюрократическую машину, подобно спруту охватывавшую самые разные области деятельности.

• Фольксдойче — ( нем. Volksdeutsche , « этнические немцы », в русском языке слово не склоняется) — обозначение людей, родным языком которых был немецкий и которые жили вне Германии (в отличие от «райхсдойче» нем. Reichsdeutsche — «немцев из рейха»). Понятие возникло после Первой мировой войны , когда, в результате изменений границ, многие немцы оказались за рубежом, и оставалось в активном употреблении до 1940 — 1960 -х годов.
