Kozloduy ( Bulgarian. Kozloduy ) is a city in Bulgaria . Located in the Vratsa region , it is part of the Kozloduy community. The population is 14,247 people.

History
Around the city found many ancient settlements and archaeological sites. In the center of modern Kozloduy in Roman times there was a Thracian settlement, nearby there were two Roman fortresses. The name "Kozloduy" or "Kotozluk" is recorded in documents of the Ottoman era of the XV — XVI centuries; according to one version, it comes from the tour. Kozludere "low dol", for others - means "ice corner" or comes from the name or nickname Kozlo.
Kozloduy entered the history of Bulgaria in 1876, when on May 17 (senior station) a detachment of Hristo Botev landed from a steamboat from Romania (see April Uprising ). The city was recaptured from the Turks during the Russian-Turkish war in 1877.
An urban-type village since 1964, a city since 1968. In 1970-1974. near the city, the Soviet Union built the Kozloduy NPP [1] [2] .
Political Situation
Kmet (mayor) of the Kozloduy community - Rumen Vasilev Manoev (Coalition of 3 parties: George Day Movement , Agricultural People's Union (ZNS) , Democratic Party (DP) ) based on the results of the elections to the community’s board.
