Geography
Dragoman is located 36 km north-west of the city of Sofia and 15 km from the state border of the Republic of Serbia.
Economy
The following enterprises are located in the city:
- "KONTAKTNI ELEMENTI" (Bulgarian. "CONTACT ELEMENT" AD) is a company producing bimetallic electrical contacts and silver solders, POS-40, POS-50, POS-60, anodes from zinc and tin. The company was founded in 1980.
- "Dragoman - EL" Ltd. - a company producing electricians.
- Mine "Beli Breg" is located in the village of Haber, is engaged in coal mining.
- "Minna Company" Ltd. is located in the village of Gaber, is engaged in the processing of old car tires.
Political situation
From 2007 to 2011, Kmet (Mayor) of the Dragoman community was Sonya Stoyanova Doncheva ( Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) ).
Since November 8, 2011, the mayor of the Dragoman community is Andrei Alexiev Ivanov. Political party - Citizens for the European development of Bulgaria , abbreviated GERB.
