Baldevo

Baldevo ( Bulgarian. Baldevo ) is a village in the Blagoevgrad region of Bulgaria . It is part of the Gyrmen community. It is located about 5 km north-west of the center of the village of Gyrmen and about 71 km south-east of the center of Blagoevgrad . According to the 2011 census , 188 people lived in the village [1] , the predominant nationality is Bulgarians [2] .

History

In the vicinity of the village there are preserved Thracian burial grounds and the ruins of the Thracian settlements of Manastir, Kolibishchat, Kostadin St. Elijah). The burial place of the Thracian leader, in which unique finds were discovered, was excavated.

In the village is a large Orthodox church.

The grave events in the life of the village were in 1903 during the war with the Turks, when the village burned down from the fire.
