The village consists of two parts. The distance between them is about 1 km. Not far from Atia is the Bulgarian naval base.
Political Situation
In the local caste, Atia, which includes Atiya, the position of kmet (village head) is performed by Reneta Atanasova Stoyeva ( coalition of 3 parties: the Union of Free Democracy (SDS) , the Bulgarian Democratic Union "Radicals", the Nashiyat Grad movement) based on the 2007 election results [1] .
