Biography
Peter Kolyubakin was born in 1763 in the Kaluga province into a noble family.
He began military service in 1775 as a non-commissioned officer in the Life Guards of the Preobrazhensky Regiment. fought in the Russian-Swedish war (1788-1790) . In 1792 he was promoted to ensign, in 1798 he was already a colonel, and in 1800 he was major general, but in the same year, among many others, fell out of favor with Emperor Paul and was dismissed from service, however, only after 5 days after the accession of Alexander, he was again recruited and appointed chief of the Smolensk Infantry Regiment, with whom he took part in the campaign of 1805 during which he was wounded by a bullet in the head and shell-shocked; for heroism received the Order of St. Vladimir 3 degrees [2] .
In 1806, Kolyubakin joined his Moldavian army with his regiment and participated in the battle of Machin and the capture of Brailov, Varna, Shumla and Ruschuk, as well as in the assault on Bazardzhik; awarded the Order of St. Anne 1 degree [2] .
In the Patriotic War of 1812, P. Kolyubakin fought at Soltanovka and was wounded by a buckshot in his right hand and received a gold sword with diamonds for bravery. Heading the 12th Infantry Division, he distinguished himself in the battles of Maloyaroslavets (the second time he was awarded the golden sword) and Red (diamond signs for the Order of St. Anna of the 1st degree) [2] .
In 1813, during a trip abroad he participated in the blockade of the city of Danzig [2] .
In 1814, Kolyubakin received a resignation due to illness [2] .
