Genesis

The first, at the moment, documented Chernosvitov is Mikhail Petrovich , a nobleman from boyar children , a participant in the defense of the fortress of Dedislavl from the Crimean Tatars.

Of the boyar children , was in the front regiment of Prince A. I. Golitsin and M. S. Turenin . In 1588, the regiment was located in the ancient city of Dedislavl .
According to the Dedislava lists of 1588, it was part of the siege people of the fortress of Dedislavl and had its own courtyard inside the fortress [1] [2] . But, as the document says, he did not build any house in the fortress. According to documents from the Tula Regional Archive, I bought land in the area of the village of Aleksintsev (Solovsk Uyezd, Karnitsky Stan), in the area under the protection of the fortress from raids. He had three sons, Vasily, Fyodor and Savely (Born in 1627), lived further in the village of Tatarinkova (Solovsk district, Karnitsky camp).

The core of the Chernosvitov family comes from the village of Tatarinki, the village of Karniki, now the Tula region . We had a relationship with the families of the Pushkins, Volkonsky, Seyfart.

The bastard on the shield is red and black, lined with silver and gold. The coat of arms of the Chernosvitov family is included in Part 8 of the General Tombstone of the noble families of the All-Russian Empire, p. 70 [3] [4] [5] .

Three branches of the Blacksmith family

Tula Branch (TV)

The famous founder - Chernosvitov Mikhail Petrovich , a nobleman, was noted in 1588. He served in the siege people of the fortified city of Dedislavl. Later he owned land in the Solovsk district, Karnitsky camp, the village of Aleksintsev. (See “Genesis”)

Yaroslavl Branch

It comes from Tula.

The ancestor was Grigory Fadeevich Chernosvitov, Mikhail Petrovich Chernosvitov’s great-great-grandson [6] , Lieutenant of the Preobrazhensky Regiment’s Life Guards , was granted lands in the Yaroslavl province and the nobility on 25.11.1751 (repeatedly). Born in the village of Aleksintsev in 1709. His son - Chernosvitov Feofilakt (Filat) Grigorievich (born 1739), the prime minister of artillery, is mentioned by A. Pushkin in “Notes on the riot”. Member of the siege of Tatishchevoy fortress near Orenburg.

Siberian Branch (CB)

The youngest branch comes from Yaroslavl. It has now become clear that the third branch does not exist. The son of Rafail Alexandrovich led a nomadic lifestyle. His children integrated into the Yaroslavl branch.

The founder was Rafail Chernosvitov (1810 [7] –1868 [8] ), inventor and gold miner [9] [10] . He was exiled to the Kexholm fortress in the case of Petrashevtsev , released in December 1854. In 1857-58 He moved to live in Siberia, where before that he spent almost half his life.

Rafail Alexandrovich is mentioned by Dostoevsky [11] as a one-legged merchant from Siberia, because they were closely acquainted and, subsequently, went through the Petrashevsky case together.

Invented a controlled balloon (airship), prosthetic leg [12] , personally tested in practice (he was one-legged after being wounded in a war with the Poles) and mentioned even in the traumatology textbook of the late twentieth century [13] , a unique steam engine and much more. In 1857, he published an article “On Air Locomotives” in the Marine Collection [14] . His works were used by Alexander Fedorovich Mozhaysky :

“Here is another example of the action of an aircraft heavier than air,” Mozhaisky thought, and setting aside the description of the devices of various balloons, he delved into the little-known studies of engineer Chernosvitov. This man, who dreamed of finding one missing expedition with the help of balloons, made many serious experiments. With the greatest interest, Mozhaisky studied just the results of those studies that Chernosvitov conducted with wings and sails, forcing "squares" of one hundred or more square feet to run through space at a speed of fifty or more feet per second. The engineer Chernosvitov, who began his work back in 1850, reported that these "areas" were set in motion by means of rotating propellers. Moving rapidly at an angle to the horizon, the "squares" sought to rise up. It was also interesting that the propeller blades had a sectional view of an inclined plane. [15]
