The representative of the fauna of Manchuria , in Russia is found only in the territory of Primorsky Krai . The area of the insect is extensive and includes: Japan , Korea , Central, southern and northeastern China and northern Vietnam .
In Primorsky Krai lives in floodplain conifer-broadleaf and deciduous forests.
They prefer to settle in hollows of old living trees, crevices of rocks, and in the absence of suitable places and in empty beehives in apiaries. Over the summer, families can share up to 3 times. Her wax cells are 2 times thinner than a regular bee.
Is in Russia a rare species listed in the red book.
