Sabir Bilyalovich Niyazbekov ( December 2 (15), 1912 , Utkolbai village of the Astrakhan region of the Tselinograd region of the Kazakh SSR , August 26, 1989 , Alma-Ata ) - Soviet state and party leader, Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Kazakh SSR, Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Council USSR (1965–78).

Biography

It comes from the genus Kypshak of the Middle Zhuz [1] .

From 1935 to 1937 served in the Soviet Army . Since 1938, at party work. In 1956 he graduated from the Higher Party School under the Central Committee of the CPSU .

  • 1945-51 - Secretary of the Kustanai regional committee of the Communist Party (b) of Kazakhstan.
  • 1951-54 - Second Secretary of the North Kazakhstan Regional Committee of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan.
  • 1956-60 - First Secretary of the West Kazakhstan Regional Committee of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan.
  • 1960–61 - Second Secretary of the Tselinniy Regional Committee of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan.
  • 1961–63 - First Secretary of the Tselinograd Regional Committee of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan.
  • 1963–64 - First Secretary of the South Kazakhstan Regional Committee of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan.
  • 1964–65 - First Secretary of the Alma-Ata Regional Committee of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan.

In 1965–78 - Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Kazakh SSR , Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the USSR .

Member of the CPSU Central Committee (1971–81; candidate for membership in the CPSU Central Committee in 1966–71). Member of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR (1962–79).

Since 1978 - a personal pensioner of national importance.

He died on August 26, 1989 in the city of Alma-Ata . He was buried in the Kensai cemetery.

Awards and titles

He was awarded three Lenins, two - the Red Banner of Labor and five medals.

Rewards

He was awarded the Order of Lenin and two other orders.
