Biography

Born on June 25, 1937 in Sverdlovsk (now Yekaterinburg ) in the family of an emigrant Pole, the father of the future actor came to the USSR in 1933 to build a new world. In 1937, the father was repressed. Mom came from a wealthy Ukrainian family - Stolypin migrants to Siberia; during the period of collectivization , fearing dispossession, the maternal grandfather moved to Sverdlovsk [2] .

After the death of her husband, Filozov’s mother often involuntarily changed her job, she was also a projectionist, and Albert became addicted to cinema, watching films from the movie booth. He became interested in books early on, got into the choir because of a good voice, lost his voice at a young age, and Albert went to a theater group. After graduating from the 8th grade (he studied secondary), Albert got a job as a turner at the State Bearing Plant No. 6 , he completed secondary education in evening school [2] .

In 1955, together with Yuri Grebenshchikov, he was accepted by the visiting committee at the Moscow Art Theater School (course of Victor Stanitsyn ), his classmates were Romashin , Lazarev , Lavrova , Pokrovskaya [2] , Innocent [3] .

Even in a student’s performance, he was noticed by then-beginning directors A. Alov and V. Naumov , who were looking for the performer of the role of a romantic hero in the film “ Wind ”. But then the film debut did not take place [4] .

After graduating in 1959 , the season 1959 - 1960 worked at the Moscow Drama Theater. KS Stanislavsky with M. M. Yanshin , was introduced to the role of already very popular then E.P. Leonov [2] . In 1960 - 1961 he served in the Yermolova Theater [5] .

In 1961 he was drafted into the army , served two years in the combat engineer battalion [2] , and commanded a military band in the Ryazan School of Communications [5] .

In 1963 he returned to the Moscow Drama Theater. K. S. Stanislavsky (in which he was formally listed before 1990 ). It was difficult to enter the profession, once after another failure on the stage I heard from a senior colleague in the theater in comfort, "that although a great artist will not come out of him, he can be useful in second and third roles" [4] .

He worked with M. O. Knebel and A. A. Popov , played in the performances of Anatoly Vasiliev ("The first version of " Vassa Zheleznova " ", 1978 and "Adult daughter of a young man" , 1979 ).

In 1972, he played the first major role in the movie ( "Residence Permit" ). The actor drew attention to himself by creating an image in the strongest contrast of internal and external, expressed directly opposite soft non-screaming plastic means. Having become in demand in the cinema, he gradually learned to refuse passing roles [6] .

Since 1982, he rehearsed with Anatoly Vasiliev at the Taganka Theater the play of Victor Slavkin "Serso" , which premiered in July 1985 [5] .

From 1989 until the end of his life he played in the performances of the theater " School of the modern play " [7] [8] .

In 1991 - 1995 he was a master (together with Armen Dzhigarkhanyan ) of an acting course at VGIK [9] [10] , he also taught at the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences [11] .

In 2007, he made his debut as a director, putting on the stage of the theater “The School of Modern Play” together with Olga Gusiletova, the play “ 2 × 2 = 5 ” by Ksenia Stepanycheva [12] [13] .

In the last years of his life he struggled with cancer , a period of remission passed, but then his condition worsened sharply and he died on the morning of April 11, 2016 [14] [15] . The last days the artist was in the hospital [16] . Two days before his death, he was discharged from there [17] .

Creativity

Critic Nina Tsyrkun remarked:

The elusive characteristic of the washed away features, the alienated look of whitish, almost transparent eyes - the “sign” appearance of Albert Filozov gave him the role of an outsider : a foreigner (the first role in the movie is Otto Talvig from the Sons of the Fatherland ) or a stranger among his own (engineer Petukhov from the television series And this all about him ). A. F., however, himself understands perfectly well that he is “different,” and does not reach for the pack. The representative of a rare tribe of perfectionists , a seeker of perfection, first of all in himself. Already a famous actor, he was professionally trained in music and dance - in order to play, perhaps, the only role where these skills come in handy. In the movie, he developed a trusting relationship with the directors of low fame, but apparently with the same blood type. The shell of children's cinema ( Black Chicken ... you never dreamed of , Mary Poppins ... , Red-headed honest lover ) became for him a cozy refuge, that "separate" world where he was allowed to lead a private existence, playing his own story. He voluntarily locked himself in a case of German fabrication, declaring a quiet war for excesses - patterned plastic, playfulness of voice modulations: even in the most chamber roles A. F. does not fall to the warmed “penetration”, even in the most pathetic episodes he doesn’t speak and cut his hands with air . But his case is a highly practical thing: he fit both the villain-deserter ( Residence permit ), and the respectable secretary ( Niccolo Paganini ), and the fascist fanatic ( Tehran-43 ), and the junk ( you never dreamed of ), and the monstrous Director of the New Russian College ( Who, if not us ). The focus is in the imperceptible backlighting from the inside, transforming the matte surface. Poverty is not cash, but demanded funds; the wealth of the meager - the director Hamlet of Denmark would have been satisfied with the actor A.F. Moreover, the main thing he played was not in the movie, but in the theater - in “The Adult Daughter of a Young Man” and in “Serso” by Anatoly Vasiliev . Here he has a different life; here he is at one with the most famous and fashionable directors, here he bravely embarks on the most desperate adventures.
