One of the old streets of the city. The former names are the 2nd Middle (in contrast to the neighboring Middle Street ). In May 1957, it was renamed to Smolensk - in the city of Smolensk . In October 1967, to the 50th anniversary of the October Revolution, the street received the name of F. S. Ignatiev (1888–1962) - a fighter for the establishment of Soviet power in Lipetsk, chairman of the Lipetsk Council of Workers' Deputies after the February 1917 revolution.
The street has a multi-storey building (only three houses).
In 2008, the DSC OJSC built two ten-storey panel houses in the center of the Military Town, which were assigned addresses: Ignatiev St., 39 and 41. Although geographically these houses are located at a distance and it would be logical to attribute them to Tereshkova ulitsa (even by house numbers), but a possible error still exists. In 1916, house 29 was demolished and construction of a residential complex began in its place Atmosphere ". In the fall of 2017, the first building-25 and a 17-storey building were erected. House 36 was converted into 2 round-the-clock baths.
Monument of History
In May 2008, on the street of Ignatiev, the barracks of the German aviation school were demolished.
At the end of the 19th century , a “monopoly” wine warehouse was created here. In 1902, a brick factory of A. V. Rusinov grew up next door. In the 1920s , the buildings were handed over to a flight military unit. In 1925 they transferred to the German Aviation School. In 1933, the highest flight courses were created here, where Vasily Stalin studied. Until 1942 , when the courses were closed, over 300 Heroes of the Soviet Union were trained here. After the war, the repair base of the Lipetsk aviation center lodged in the walls of a former brick factory.
During perestroika, Russian historians discovered that the German Aviation School was the only object in Lipetsk with intergovernmental status (it was mentioned in the Soviet-German agreement on April 15, 1925 ).
January 26, 2007 home number 31, 36, 38 and 40 received the status architectural monument (newly discovered cultural heritage site) .
However, this territory was being prepared for the construction of multi-storey buildings of LLC Stroykorporatsiya Lipetsk. In May 2008, three buildings - No.36, 38 and 40 - removed the protection status. In the same month, heavy machinery destroyed all four houses (including guarded house No. 31).
