Modifications
The first reactor of the series was mounted on the KV-1 ground stand at NITI in 1975. For 2012, the stand is in working condition.

Reactor flooding
In accidents in submarines, flooding of reactors occurred:
- K-278 "Komsomolets" - 1 OK-650B-3 reactor was shut off and flooded. Periodic examination of the submarine.
- K-141 βKurskβ - 2 OK-650V reactors were drowned and flooded. After raising the submarine, SNF was unloaded.
