The enterprise is an enterprise of the Nevsky Branch of the Territorial Generating Company No. 1

  • Director of the enterprise - Nikolaev Andrey Petrovich [3]
  • The number of personnel station - 494 people [1]

History

Established in 1999 , combining the three oldest power plants in Russia:

  • Power Plant No. 1 (Embankment Canal Embankment, d. 76, the former power plant of the Electric Lighting Company of 1886 , launched November 16, 1898 ) [1] [4] ;
  • power station No. 2 (Novgorodskaya ul., 9-11, the former power station of the Joint Stock Company Helios , launched April 27, 1897 );
  • Power Plant No. 3 (104 Fontanka Embankment, the former power plant of the Belgian Anonymous Electric Lighting Society , launched on May 22, 1898 ).

CHP-1

Prior to the launch of the Central Power Plant (now ES-1 Central CHP), the Electric Lighting Society of 1886 owned seven small power plants. The building for it was built in 1897–98 on the bank of the Obvodny Canal, house 76, designed by the famous Petersburg architect Nikolai Petrovich Basin ( 1845 - after 1917 ). Commissioning took place on November 16, 1898. 4 steam boilers and 6 Siemens and Galske steam engines with a total capacity of 4.2 MW were installed at the station. The station staff was 100 people. The remaining power plants of the company were closed. In 1900 - 1910, the power plant was expanded by the project of E. R. Ulman and F. I. Sauer. The boiler room was built in 1913-1915 according to the design of the architect Gorelkin. By 1916, another 2 steam engines were installed at the ES-1 and 9 steam turbines with a total capacity of 49 MW were installed. Such power covered half of the city’s need for electricity.

In the 1920s , the largest turbine with a capacity of 30 MW was installed at ES-1. By 1927, the total capacity of the station was 68 MW. In the 1960s , an experimental-industrial combined-cycle gas turbine plant was built, which worked for about 10 years. To date, all the turbines ES-1 dismantled. In operation, 6 GM-50-14 steam boilers with a total steam generating capacity of 320 t / h and 3 KVGM-100 water boilers with a total heating capacity of 300 Gcal / h remain in operation. The total installed thermal capacity of the ES-1 is 480 Gcal / h.

Inoperative stand-alone chimney ES-1 demolished April 27, 2014 . In its place built a gas turbine power plant.

CHP-2

Initially, ES-2 was located in houses 12-14 along Novgorodskaya Street. 7 steam boilers and 4 750 kW steam engines were installed. A year later, 6 more boilers and 3 steam engines were installed. The installed capacity of the plant was 5.25 MW. The boiler units were designed for high-calorie Cardiff coal used in the fleet. In 1928 - 1933, the national power equipment was installed at ES-2.

In the years of the siege of Leningrad, more than 300 workers of the power plant died from shelling, bombing, starvation and deprivation.

From 1960 to 2000, boilers were gradually converted to burning natural gas.

In 1970 - 1975, turbine generators with water-cooled stator were used for the first time at the ES-2 turbines.

Currently, ES-2 is the largest of the power plants that make up the Central Thermal Power Plant. The management of the Central Thermal Power Plant is also located on the station.

CHP-3

The first 350 kW steam engine at the power plant of the Belgian Anonymous Electric Lighting Society (now ES-3 ) was commissioned on May 22, 1898. By 1901, the station had 18 steam engines with a total capacity of 5.5 MW. In 1903, the steam turbine of the English firm Parsons with a capacity of 680 kW was also installed.

In 1911–1914, two counter-pressure steam turbines (Laval and AEG) and 6 Babcock-Wilcox boilers were installed [5] .

ES-3 is actually the first CHP in Leningrad and in Russia, since in 1924 the first heating main was built about 200 m in length. It ended at No. 96 along the Fontanka embankment. Then, ES-3 provided heat supply for other residential and public buildings, and in 1960, heat networks ES-1 and ES-3 were merged.

By the end of 2007, the dismantling of the ES-2 closed coal warehouse was completed [6] . ES-3 stopped in 2008 .

The organizational association of the central power stations was undertaken in 1921 , when the State Power Plants Association (UGES) was created. In March 1922, the Petrograd Hydropower Plant was transformed into the Petrotok Electric Petrograd Electric Networks Trust, and in 1924, the Leningrad Association of the State Power Plants Electrotok. After the nationalization of the power plant, they were named HPP (State Electric Power Station): HPP-1, HPP-2 and HPP-3.

The association also included the now defunct HPP-4 (formerly Tramway) on Atamanskaya Street , 3/6 (in 1923 - 1993, Krasny Elektrika Street ). The power plant was built in 1906-1907 by the design of architects A.I. Zazersky and L. B. Gorenberg. The station was called "The main electrical station of the rail (tram) roads." Since 1927, the building houses the Central Research and Design Kotloturbin Institute for Design. I. I. Polzunova (now OAO Scientific and Production Association for Research and Design of Power Equipment named after I. I. Polzunov) with an experimental heat and power plant .

Perspectives

At the beginning of May 2008, a tender was announced for the right to conclude a contract for the construction of a combined cycle gas turbine unit with a capacity of 180 MW. The competition was open, one stage, without preliminary qualification. The potential participant was supposed to provide tender security in the amount of 3 million rubles [2] .

The scope of work of the contractor includes [2] :

  • Development:
    • Project development,
    • Development of working documentation
  • Construction and installation:
    • Completion and supply of equipment and materials in accordance with the developed project and documentation,
    • Construction, installation and commissioning of the facility,
  • Escort:
    • Putting the unit into operation in a timely manner,
    • Warranty service.

Terms of execution of works: II quarter of 2008 - IV quarter of 2010 [2] . Gas supply of up to 65 thousand m³ / h is provided from the gas distribution station "Yuzhnaya".

At ES-2 it is planned to replace the boilers for high-pressure boilers and the installation of 50 MW turbines. It is planned to build a gas pipeline and reconstruct the electrical part of the CHP plant. At ES-3, a comprehensive replacement of equipment is also planned.

It is planned to transfer a large number of heat consumers from the Central and Admiralteisky districts of St. Petersburg from boiler houses to centralized heat supply from the power plants of the Central Thermal Power Plant [7] .
