Castañeiras ( port. Castanheiras ) is a municipality in Brazil , part of the state of Rondonia . An integral part of the East Rondonia mesoregion. Included in the economic and statistical microregion of Cacoal . The population was 3,550 in 2017 ^[1] . It covers an area of 892.84 km². The population density is 3.98 people / km².
