Content
Story
The Second World War ended. After the death of her mother, her father takes the ten-year-old Fiona to the city, but soon realizes that life in the city is not for her. The girl returns to the village, to her grandfather and grandmother. There she learns a lot of ancient stories, including about people-seals - silk . Once upon a time, one of her ancestors married a silk girl, and since then in the Conelli family once a generation there appear “dark” - black-haired, black-eyed children. It was such a "dark" was Jimmy - the younger brother of Fiona, with whom the sea cradled the cradle. But the girl does not believe that he died, and does everything possible to find him and return to the island where she was born and where her mother died, to the island of Roan Inish ...
