Abare ( port. Abaré ) is a municipality in Brazil , part of the state of Bahia . An integral part of the Vali San Francisco da Bahia mesoregion. Included in the economic and statistical micro-region of Paulo Afonso . The population is 15,252 people ( 2006 ). It covers an area of 1693.690 km². The population density is 9.0 people / km². The motto is “Development in conditions of social justice”.

History
The first farm appeared in the 1st half of the XIX century. The city was founded on July 19, 1962 .
