Story
Dexter's 11-year-old boy was found to have AIDS after a blood transfusion . Peers at school cruelly mock him - the guys are sure that since he has AIDS, then he is a “fagot” . Now he has to sit at home all day. Dexter made friends with a neighbor named Eric, although he is 2 years older than him - they communicate with each other through a fence when each of them plays in the backyard of his house. Eric Gale's mother is a selfish and narcissistic woman who pays little attention to her son and does not approve of his friendship. Eric reaches for a neighbor, Dexter’s mother, Linda, a kind and helpful person, and with her finds her second family.
Having decided to help, Eric tries to find a cure for a friend on his own. First, he "treats" Dexter with chocolates , and then, after watching the " Witch Doctor " with Sean Connery , they cook decoctions from all plants in a row, including poisonous ones.
Once, friends read in a magazine that there is a doctor in New Orleans who treats AIDS. Then they decided to drop everything, find a boat and get to the Mississippi to the rescue.
