The village was founded in 1815. XIX century . The population is Erzyans and Chuvashs . Before the revolution of 1917, there was a missionary school . There was no church . Soviet power was established in February 1918. During the Civil War, the village repeatedly passed from hand to hand. The collective farm "Middle Key" was formed in the early 1930s .
In 1941, short-term courses for women tractor drivers were opened.
In 1947, the first power station in the region was launched in a village on the Kuake River. In 1950, the collective farm “Middle Key” along with the collective farms “Almaz” (Fedotovka), “Yash Koch” (Sarabikkulovsky Tukmak) were combined into a collective farm named after Lenin.
Currently, the population is engaged in field husbandry and dairy farming .
In 1989, 204 people lived, in 1997 - 165 people (Chuvash - 67%, Erzyan 27% of the total population).
