Color coin - a coin coated with colored enamel [2] , glaze or varnish . Usually this type of coin is intended for collecting. Colored is often only one side of them.
Some colored coins are put into circulation, for example in Canada it is a coin with a face value of 25 cents with an image of a red poppy [3] , which appeared in 2004. The first Russian color coin, with a face value of 2 rubles, was issued on November 1, 2008. It contained 15.55 grams of pure silver and was released in the series “ Outstanding Personalities of Russia ” (Children's writer N. N. Nosov - 100th Birth Anniversary) [4] .
The second colored Russian coin was a silver coin, issued in 2009, with a face value of 3 rubles 925 sample “The 50th anniversary of the beginning of the exploration of the Moon by spacecraft” [5] .
Australian coins of the Lunar Calendar series are also made in color [6] [7] .
