Palais Brongniart Palace, formerly known as the Stock Exchange Palace, is a building built in 1807-1825 , surrounded by a Corinthian-style peristyle , where the Paris Stock Exchange was located . Located in the Vivienne quarter of the 2nd arrondissement of Paris . Named in honor of the architect Alexander Theodore Bronniart, who began construction of the palace in 1807 on the site of a former monastery ( couvent des Filles de Saint Thomas ), but did not finish - Broniar died on June 6, 1813 . Further construction was carried out by Éloi Labarre , who completed the palace in November 1825. The ceiling of the palace was painted by artist Alexander Abel de Pujol . Euronext, the company that owns the stock exchange, has fully computerized the work of the exchange and uses the free rooms of the palace for conferences , seminars and business meetings.
