SPML

SPML ( Service Provisioning Markup Language ) is a language for exchanging identification data about users, resources and information services between interacting organizations, based on the XML language, developed by OASIS as an open standard.

The goal of SPML is to enable various organizations to quickly and securely exchange identity information about users, resources, and services when executing automated requests for access to information resources. Corporate portals, application servers, web services based on certain rules and agreements can initiate a request for access to resources for users of interacting organizations, as a result of which automation of account management in a cross-domain environment is achieved.
