Name Origin
The original name is 6th Street of October Field (since 1948). In 1965 it was renamed in honor of S. S. Biryuzov (1904-1964) - Marshal of the Soviet Union , Hero of the Soviet Union . During World War II, the division commander, chief of staff of the army, front, army commander. After the war, he held a number of major command posts, including was the chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the USSR in 1963-1964.
Description
Marshal Biryuzova Street starts from Berzarin Street at the line of the Small Ring of the Moscow Railway ( Presnya-Tovarnaya stage - Serebryany Bor ), runs northwest, crossing the streets of the Peopleβs Militia (exits of the Oktyabrskoe Pole metro station are located here), Marshal Sokolovsky , Marshal Konev , then the nameless passage to Marshal Rybalko Street leaves to her right, then Raspletina Street leaves to her left, then the 3rd Volokolamsky passage and Infantry Street adjoin her. Marshal Biryuzov street ends on the square of Academician Kurchatov .

- Previously, a 44th trolley bus ran from Polezhaevskaya metro station to Academician Kurchatov Square, however, in 1990 the route was canceled, and in 2000 the contact network was completely liquidated.
Construction
Marshal Biryuzova Street crosses the Peopleβs Militia Street, which will become an integral part of one of the largest Moscow routes - the North-Western Chord.
