Syabrenitsy are known as the residence of the writer Gleb Ivanovich Uspensky . The house of the writer Uspensky is the only 2-storey house in the village. In the Great Patriotic War, the Germans arranged a hospital here and cut down a garden, only in 1967 the museum was restored [2] .
One of the streets of the village is named after Valentina Semenovna Serova. In the 1880s, she proposed the creation of a peasant conservatory in Sjabrenica with the aim of introducing the peasants of Sjabrenica, Chudov and other surrounding villages into musical creativity. The architect Stepan Krichinsky , who was married to the daughter of the writer Uspensky, Maria, designed the Choir House, and in the winter of 1913 the first music "festival" was held with the participation of St. Petersburg soloists, a choir from the students of V. S. Serova and a peasant choir. Scenes from the opera by M. I. Glinka “ Life for the Tsar ” [3] were staged.
