Comes from a traditional chiefdom, in 1999 - 2007 - speaker of parliament. After the parliamentary elections, with 18 votes to 15, cast for Kessai Note , he was elected president of the country on January 7, 2008 , and was sworn in on January 14 . On October 21, 2009, he was removed from office by a vote of no confidence with 17 votes to 15 [2] . On October 26, parliament elected Jurelang Zedkaya the new president, receiving 17 votes to 15, cast for ex-president Note [3] . Zedkaya took office that day.
