Coat of arms of the Sahara Arab Democratic Republic

The coat of arms of the Arab Democratic Republic of Western Sahara is a symbol created by the Polisario Front , a movement for an independent Western Sahara. On February 27, 1976, the POLISARIO Front proclaimed the Arab Democratic Republic of Western Sahara .

Details

The emblem shows two crossed rifles with ADZS flags, above them - a red crescent and a star - symbols of Islam. The coat of arms is framed by two olive branches on both sides. Polisario's motto “حرية ديمقراطية وحدة” (in Russian: “Freedom, Democracy, Unity”) is written on a red ribbon in Arabic.
