Story
The interpretation of the Old Testament events in the script differs significantly from the well-known myths about the Queen of Sheba.
Feeling the approaching demise, the ruler of Israel David orders to transfer his power to his son - Solomon . Upon learning of this, the senior heir to Adonius becomes furious and tries to overthrow Solomon. At the same time, the pharaoh of Egypt, watching how the power of Israel grows thanks to the wise rule of Solomon, is plotting against his neighbor. He sends the ruler of the state of Sheba, his ally, the Queen of Sheba, to Israel on a friendly visit.
Because of her love for her, Solomon at first sight loses his head, forgets everything and is even ready to become an adherent of paganism. The tsarina, together with her secret ally, Adonija, is going to make trouble and remove Solomon from the throne, but she herself falls in love with Solomon. Higher forces intervene during events. At a crucial moment, a lightning strike from heaven destroys the pagan altar, which the queen began to build. King Solomon is removed from power by an indignant people, and his mistress is stoned.
Of last strength, the queen addresses prayer to heaven, and her wounds are miraculously healed. In the end, the queen returns to her homeland, taking in her womb the future heir to King Solomon.
